"In sensing the uncertainly and vulnerability of life as a whole, man increasingly needs to turn his sights to space removed from the unlimited rule and prevailing power of pain".
In my opinion the meaning of this passage is that people have to be able to find a outlet to escape the pain. That life may get difficult at times and can be painful but the best thing to do is find a way to escape the pain that life brings at time.
This particular passage interested me because I feel that people experienced everyday but they cant allow that pain to hinder them or break their spirit. So they have to be able to find a escape for the pain.
